HawkHi! My name is Hawk Lightstar Segura. I am currently the Regional Director for New Mexico and the sourrounding area. I am a certified Internet broadcaster being able to handle any sized live or taped event.  I am half Zuni and half Chiricahua Apache.  I am an enrolled member of the Zuni Tribe.  I live in Zuni, New Mexico which is approximately 45 miles south of Gallup, New Mexico.

I have been working for my family’s production company since 2002.  The production company is called, Knifewing Productions, Inc.   Company productions include sound, stage and lighting.  The company also has a recording studio and does album recording, commercials and voice over work.

I started as a roadie and worked my way up to lighting technician and audio technician.  I saw the need for filming so I started learning more about film making on my own.  I started by filming concerts and Native American performing artists.  I also filmed small advertisements for the El Morro Theatre in Gallup, New Mexico.  From these recordings I have created DVD’s and commercials.  I am learning and working with a program called Pro Tools.   We use this program to record, edit and burn demo CD’s for different artists in our area.  Been working with Mac computers, HDV tapes, Final Cut Express, Digital HD video camera recorders. With the training I have received and the experience I have in concert productions, I hope to become a better technician in Native American Internet Broadcasting.  I am looking forward to bringing state of the art technology to Native American Communities.
